The bearing of B from A is 070°. What is the bearing of A from B?
Answer and explanation
Correct answer: A. 250°
- Step 1: A back bearing differs from the forward bearing by 180°. Step 2. 70° + 180° = 250°. Answer: 250°. Why not the others: 110°: This is 180° - 70°, an angle on a straight line, not a bearing measured clockwise from north. 290°: This is 360° - 70°, the reflection in the north line. 070°: This is the same bearing and would mean A is in the same direction from B.
