A vehicle ahead signals right. What should you do before overtaking it?
Answer and explanation
Correct answer: A. Wait until it has turned or moved out
- Step 1: A right signal means the vehicle may move right. Step 2. Hold back until it has turned. Answer: Wait until it has turned or moved out. Why not the others: Overtake at once: the signal says the vehicle may move right into your path. Sound the horn and pass: a horn gives no right to pass and the vehicle may still turn. Pass on the left: left-side passing is not the normal side in left-hand traffic and is hazardous.
