A right triangle has legs of length 6 and 8. What is its perimeter?
Answer and explanation
Correct answer: D. 24
- Step 1: The hypotenuse is the square root of 36 + 64 = 10. Step 2. The perimeter is 6 + 8 + 10 = 24. Answer: 24. Why not the others: 14 leaves out the hypotenuse, 48 is the area doubled and 30 is not a sum of the sides.
