How is the standard cell potential of a galvanic cell calculated?
Answer and explanation
Correct answer: D. E cell = E cathode - E anode
- Step 1: Both values are standard reduction potentials. Step 2. The cathode value minus the anode value gives the cell potential. Answer: E cathode minus E anode. Why not the others: Fluorine has an electronegativity of 4.0 and is the most electronegative element; carbon has an electronegativity of 2.5; and lithium has an electronegativity of 1.0.
