When will the public be able to use the hall?
The town council announced yesterday that a new sports hall will be built next to the secondary school on Palm Street. The building will contain a basketball court, a swimming pool and a gym, and it is expected to open in September next year. The project will cost about two million dollars, which will be paid partly by the council and partly by a local company. Students will use the hall during school hours, and the public will be able to use it in the evenings and at weekends. Some residents have complained that construction will cause noise and traffic, but the council says that work will be limited to daytime hours.
