A rectangle is 14 cm long and 11 cm wide. What is its perimeter?
Answer and explanation
Correct answer: D. 50 cm
- Step 1: Perimeter = 2 x (length + width). Step 2. 2 x (14 + 11) = 50 cm. Answer: 50 cm. Why not the others: 154 cm: this is the area, not the perimeter. 25 cm: only one length and one width were added. 308 cm: the area was doubled.
