A rectangle is 5 feet long and 10 feet wide. What is its perimeter?

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: B. 30 feet

  1. Step 1: Perimeter = 2 x (length + width). Step 2. 2 x (5 + 10) = 30 feet. Answer: 30 feet. Why not the others: 50 feet: this is the area, not the perimeter. 15 feet: this is only half of the perimeter. 20 feet: this counts one width only.
