Answer and explanation
Correct answer: D. 7.5 days
- Step 1: Their daily rates are 1/10 and 1/30, which add up to 40/300, so the time is 300/40 = 7.5 days. Answer: 7.5 days. Why not the others: 20 days, 40 days and 150 days don't fit.
