An object falls freely from rest for 2 s (g = 10 m/s²). How far does it fall?
Answer and explanation
Correct answer: B. 20 m
- Step 1: s = ½gt². Step 2. ½ × 10 × 4 = 20. Answer: 20 m. Why not the others: 40 forgets the half; 10 and 5 use t instead of t squared.
