A rectangle has area 48 cm squared and length 8 cm. What is its perimeter?
Answer and explanation
Correct answer: B. 28 cm (2 x 14)
- Step 1: The width is 48 / 8 = 6 cm. Step 2. The perimeter is 2 x (8 + 6) = 28. Answer: 28 cm (2 x 14). Why not the others: 14 is half the perimeter, 56 doubles it, 24 is not the sum.
