How to practise english.
- 1
Read the question before the passage
Knowing what you are looking for makes the first read faster and the answer easier to spot.
- 2
Find the evidence
Every right answer can be pointed to in the text. If you cannot point to it, it is a guess.
- 3
Learn words in sentences
A word learned inside a sentence is easier to remember and use than one learned from a list.
- 4
Say the sentence in your head
In grammar questions the wrong choice often sounds wrong. Then name the rule so you can trust it.
- 5
Redo your mistakes after a week
Repeat the questions you got wrong after a few days. That is when a rule either sticks or fades.
