- Step 1: Basic pay = 200 x 40 = 8,000. Step 2. Overtime = 200 x 1.5 x 6 = 1,800. Step 3. Total = KSh 9,800. Answer: KSh 9,800. Why not the others: KSh 9,200: That pays all the overtime hours at the normal rate. KSh 8,000: That leaves out the overtime. KSh 13,800: That pays every hour at the overtime rate.
