How to practise physics.
- 1
Draw it first
A quick sketch of the forces, the circuit or the ray path shows what is happening before you touch a formula.
- 2
Write the units on every line
If the units on both sides do not match, the working is wrong. It is the fastest check there is.
- 3
Check the direction and the sign
Many lost marks are a minus sign or a wrong direction. Say which way is positive before you start.
- 4
Estimate before you calculate
Ask if the answer is the right size. A car that takes 0.002 seconds to stop should make you look again.
- 5
Learn the few big laws properly
Newton's laws, energy conservation and Ohm's law explain most of a paper. Know when each one applies.
- 6
Redo your mistakes after a week
Repeat the questions you got wrong after a few days. That is when a method either sticks or fades.
Questions, answered.
- Is the physics practice really free?
- Yes. Every question, explanation, mock test and flashcard deck is free, with no plans or paywalls.
- Which exams does it cover?
- Physics questions from Bagrut (Secondary School Matriculation), IB Diploma. There are 167 physics questions on this page's list today.
- Does every question have an explanation?
- Yes. Each question has an explanation with the working or the key idea, and you can open any question on its own page.
- Can I take a timed test?
- Yes. The mock tests below run on a real timer and show a full review with explanations at the end.
