Questions people ask

Is the general knowledge practice free?
Yes. Every question, explanation, test and flashcard deck is free, with no plans or paywalls.
How do new topics appear?
We open GK one topic at a time. A topic goes live when it has enough questions with explanations, so you only see topics that are ready.
Are the facts kept up to date?
We avoid facts that change quickly, such as current office holders or records. Where a question depends on a year, the question or the explanation says so.
Can I take a timed test?
Yes. When a topic has a test it appears on this page and runs on a real timer, with a full review at the end.
